ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 1
Architectural Design Studio 1 is structured as an introduction to architectural design. This preliminary design module aims to present and explain design through the expression of the perception of 'self' and the body, construction and materiality in terms of tectonics. The series of studio-based exercises and assignments introduces the fundamental methods, principles and approaches in design thinking and basic spatial design.

Project 1
Generate design in model form based on design elements and principles given. Design elements are those which can be defined as specific "parts" of a design solution; Design principles are those items which can influence, direct or resolve the overall composition of the design elements. Next, tattoo stamps for each model are also required to be generated which is an exaggerated extraction of the main idea of the models.

Project 2
Generate design intentions through the process of exploring material - bamboo and relate the idea of design intention in anthropometric and ergonomic to space its experimental qualities. A 1:1 tectonic with bamboo as the main material is required to be installed, and architectural drawings like plan, elevation, section and exploded axonometric are required to be produced to further explain the tectonic structure for presentation.

Project 3
Deconstruct the previous tectonic structure and identify a dominant theme. Re-explore the relationship between banal action from the previous project and current design. Test models are required to show design exploration, a monochromatic interpretive model and architectural drawings with 10 tattoo stamps.
